Making Progress!

Hi Charlie,
I've worked on your dollhouse this weekend and have made a lot of progress!
Over the last couple of weeks I have been doing some prep work: painting the windows, doors and doorways.
On Saturday all the pieces were ready to go so I could start to put it together.
I started by laying the first floor roof on top of the floor and drew where all the walls would be.  I then drill holes into both the ceiling and floor at the same place so the walls could later connect to both.
Then I started to assemble the walls.  The first one was the front wall where the porch is.
Then the living room walls, then dining room and then the kitchen.
The stairs and the door going to the basement were hard!

After I figured out the stairs then I was ready to start on the doorways between the rooms.
So now all the walls are in and the doorways.  I still have to put trim on and touch up paint inside.

And then I'll need to work on the porch!

Walls!

Today I made the walls for the first floor, Charlie.
First I figured out the size they would need to be.
I already had prepared the wood by painting it and so then I just needed to cut out each wall.
Then I made sure they would fit!  So I placed them on the floor of the dollhouse to make sure it all would work.
Then I had to cut out the doors and windows,  Finally, they needed to be painted.
Next step is to trim the doors and start to put it together!

Floor and Ceiling AND Stairs, Windows and Doors

I am working on one floor at a time, Charlie.
Today I painted the windows, front door and stairs.

I'm getting ready to cut out the walls on the first floor.
I've already made the ceiling and the floor.
